American Laser Games lightgun controls

I have American Laser Games working fine with hyperspin. However I wanted to use my aimtrak light gun to play them and I can't seem to figure out how to change the controls. The game launches fine and I can fire my gun, but have no clue what the coin button is, start etc. Games like Mad Dog start off and then jump around as I inadvertently press buttons on my xarcade stick trying to figure out what/how to do. I have read the support threads but none seem to be addressing controls with lightguns for the system. Just whether or not it's working in general. Any and all help is appreciated. I know I'm probably the hundredth person to ask this, though I did read through the forum threads before posting this. Thanks,

Your X-Arcade should function as a keyboard encoder. Most of these are sold programmed to the MAME standard which is coin "5" or "6" and start "1" or "2", depending on 1 or 2 player. So if you haven't changed the programming, it should drop a coin and start the same as a MAME game. Then you switch to your AimTrak gun. To exit the game, should be same as exit in MAME (assuming you haven't changed anything on you X-Arcade).
