Strat-Mangler Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I'm using Magic Engine FX for my NEC PC-FX games. Unfortunately, no matter what, the games won't launch. They get extracted and the emulator loads, but then, I just get a gray screen. Nothing happens. I've made sure that Skip Check is set to False in RL, everything is up to date including the module, I've tried with games in compressed and uncompressed formats. Nothing works. I've tried this through HS, RL, and the emulator directly. No go every time. This is a video I found on YouTube that shows exactly what I'm currently experiencing. Any ideas?
SkyHighGam3r Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 The only 'somewhat' advice I can give is drop MagicEngine. I was driving myself mad trying to get it to work for about 2 months, and then FINALLY decided to give this RetroArch thing everyone was talking about a try. I liked it so much, I now run everything except PS2, DC, & GC/Wii on it.As for technically resolving that particular problem, I sadly cannot personally offer much help.
thcdgaf Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 theres a pc engine version of retroarch module you use with retroarch works fine for me
Strat-Mangler Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 I want the games to look as graphically pleasing as possible. Would RetroArch have a bunch of filters to make everything look nice, smooth, and beautifully upscaled? Honestly, if anybody has any tips for Magic Engine FX to work, please let me know.
