Jokerbone Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I am using mameuifx 1.66. I can launch my games directly from the emulator so that is working fine. I have configured my global MAME emulator with the mameuifx. I know that is working because I can launch the emulator from the rocket launcher emulators tab. I selected the MAME system on the left and changed the rom path and changed the emulator to the global MAME. My problem is when I go to launch the game from rocketlauncher, nothing happens. I get an hourglass for a second and then nothing. I did link hyperspin and Rocketlauncher, but I don't even think that matters at this point because the link between MAME and Rocket Launcher is not working correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if more info is needed. Thanks!
Rodnutz Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I'm having the same problem. I'm using the HyperSpin 1.4 Mame 0.167 build v1.03 that I got from the download section. Outside of RocketLaunch all emulators seem to be working fine, but when I test a game from within it never loads.
edtitus2 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Hi guys I'm a newbie. But I'm very interested in this Hyperspin. I'm having the exact same problem . This is all based off the videos on YouTube correct ? We're missing something I keep watching the videos to see what I missed but I can't seem to find it .
Rotgut Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Same here. I am using MAME 0.167. The actual exe file is named "mame64.exe"... not sure why it is called that? I was using MAMEUIFX from the download pack on the site — and it would launch from RocketLauncher fine — but I was getting horrible stuttering issues with certain games (i.e., Capcom's 1944) so I switched back to MAME 0.167. So many hiccups transitioning/updating the setup. Ugh
Guest Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 You have 7z function setting to false on your MAME system right? As for why it's called 'mame64'. It's the 64 bit version of the MAME emulator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, I'm pretty sure I do. I'll double-check though. I remarked about the "64" part because I thought maybe that was causing an issue — that RL was looking for a file called "mame.exe" not "mame64.exe"...

Guest Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Yeah, RL is set to use the 32bit version by default. If you have a 64 bit system, use mame64 and update the path in RL for the emulator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guest Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Not pointing to the right exe for the MAME emulator in RL could also be your issue. Without a troubleshooting log it's hard to say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
