Hi guys, as the topic states I am totally confused about mapping my buttons.....I have an ipac2. am I supposed to remap the ipac buttons first, then map the buttons with joy2key?, or in the emulators themselves or in hyperhq, or in all 3....like I said I'm confused, id be grateful for any help if you guys could please. the systems I have setup now are mame, Amiga and Amiga cd 32. I'm going to add Sega Genesis, Sega CD, dreamcast, SNES, n64, Daphne and possibly ps1 and 2 along with steam games and pc games.....I have 8 action buttons for each player, coin, 1player, 2 player, 2 side buttons for pinball, a trackball along with the left and right mouse click, joysticks and 2 admin buttons......

From experience I think its best to remap those buttons.

You will need to use a program like WinIPAC from ultimarc to do this.

Check out this thread over at the Rocketlauncher forums. Have a look at the dropbox document. :)

For me I did the following:-

1) Set my iPac inputs to those suggested in the above guide.

2) Re-configured each of my emulators/pc games to use the above setup (using the configured controls to input)

3) Added a few AHK scripts for those odd PC games where I couldn't reconfigure certain keys (i.e. they must use enter etc).

To date everything has been working without issue.
