rikoos Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Question: I make backup zip packages of my Hyperspin installations. Every zip is a complete set based onthe Chicuelo theme (roms, database and artwork for HS). So one zip package for the Atari 2600, 1 zip package for NES etc etc etc I'm installing now a portable gaming device which only contains my favo games of each system. I selected one backup zip of a system, copied it to my new system and deleted all the roms i dont want on my favo system to have a favo rom set now! Next i need to clean all the unneeded art work now as this is still a complete system artwork set with videos and wheel art. (I need to save space!) I checked so many tools now, Hypermint etc etc etc but none seems to work okay with windows 10. Are there any working tools or scripts which can mint my installation? The following is needed! 1) create the DB XML based on present roms and using the hyperlist database (with the extra info inside, i know how to make a XML based on roms in a map but i want the extra info).2) Delete all unneeded artwork like vids, wheel, cartridges, boxes for non presence roms etc etc Suggestions, scripts, experiencias, etc etc are welcome smile emoticon THNX GUYS!
rastan Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Try using one of the rom/art tools that normally copies/renames the files to match what you have... basically since you only have your favorite ROMS... the program will only match the art work to the ROMS you have and most of these programs will copy the FILES to a separate folder.
rikoos Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 Will give Rom Folder Cleaner a try, Thnx maybe that's the most easy one to try ;-)
