Hyperspin black screen loading games with updated MAME

Hello,

I have been having problems getting games to run, so after advise from board members I have properly matched the sets and running ClrMamePro. However, I just changed my MAME,exe from 0.148 to the newer version of 0.149 and all games load to a black screen. Here is the kicker, the emulator is working because on one of the NEO GEO games I tapped the joystick controls and I can hear the intro music and then the game. The screen is absolutely black. When I revert back to 0.148 I have both audio and video. Anyone know why this is?

149 mame has a bug that you cannot alt-tab and back if you are using HLSL. As soon as you turn it off, everything works fine. This also affects HyperPause in the new RocketLauncher. I have reported the bug and hopefully will get fixed in a newer version. So this may be related to what you are seeing, no picture but audio going in the background.

Yea, I am not using HLSL. If I am understanding the current information on the internet, MAMEUIFX is updated to .149 as well. I might play around with the thought tomorrow, but would this be a feasible work around?

I don't use that flavor of mame, your guess is as good as mine.

I am having this problem with my xarcade cabinet. Opening Hyperspin I see all the graphics, can go through all consoles, all games but when I select a game to play the screen goes black, and theres no way out of it with out restarting, unless you hook it up to a PC monitor, then you can see the game. I don't know if this is a weird resolution problem or what. Now even going back to my basic mame plus that I've used on this cabinet for years wont work. Any Ideas?
