plissken13x Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hello, I have been having problems getting games to run, so after advise from board members I have properly matched the sets and running ClrMamePro. However, I just changed my MAME,exe from 0.148 to the newer version of 0.149 and all games load to a black screen. Here is the kicker, the emulator is working because on one of the NEO GEO games I tapped the joystick controls and I can hear the intro music and then the game. The screen is absolutely black. When I revert back to 0.148 I have both audio and video. Anyone know why this is?
djvj Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 149 mame has a bug that you cannot alt-tab and back if you are using HLSL. As soon as you turn it off, everything works fine. This also affects HyperPause in the new RocketLauncher. I have reported the bug and hopefully will get fixed in a newer version. So this may be related to what you are seeing, no picture but audio going in the background. plissken13x Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Yea, I am not using HLSL. If I am understanding the current information on the internet, MAMEUIFX is updated to .149 as well. I might play around with the thought tomorrow, but would this be a feasible work around?

WyldChyld695 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I am having this problem with my xarcade cabinet. Opening Hyperspin I see all the graphics, can go through all consoles, all games but when I select a game to play the screen goes black, and theres no way out of it with out restarting, unless you hook it up to a PC monitor, then you can see the game. I don't know if this is a weird resolution problem or what. Now even going back to my basic mame plus that I've used on this cabinet for years wont work. Any Ideas?
