Steam Controller Support Help

So im pretty New to setting up the front end here, but i have a problem, i recently got the new Steam Controller, but I dont know how to set it up properly, i did create a shortcut to hyperspin through steam, and attempted to configure the controller as an x-input device, but its not reading it correctly.  Is there anyway i can get it to work?

I hear that many of the emulators have issues with the steam controller. Although not tested myself.

 

Maybe by now they have made a wrapper or a workaround like the PS3/PS4 controllers but I am yeat to try the steam controller so cannot comment
