Use a different wheel direction on Genre select?

So, i set up my genres earlier and I was just wondering if it's possible to use a separate wheel direction when selecting genre? For some reason it feels like I want that wheel to be horizontal as opposed to my standard wheel which is vertical?

 

Possible, or pipe dream?!
