ericleroi
Thanks. Had it been for larger expanses, I'm not sure I would have gone to this much trouble but given it was a desk, I decided to go for it. Everything else I have uses the blackboard paint / polyurethane approach.
bleasby
Thanks for the interest in this. The project was put on hold waiting for plunger support for PinballFX (which hasn't happened yet unfortunately). I will be resurrecting this project anyway in the summer. It's neatly packed away at the moment ready to be progressed. Let me know if you want a script to simulate the plunger support. When I have time I could try to make it. Basically you have two alternatives for that, use a xpadder like program that would make the plunger act like the enter key, so when you pull the plunger the hold enter key would be sent to PinballFX until you release it and launch the ball (this is a more digital work around). Or you could use an script that would take the plunger axis "strength" when you released it and translate that on a certain press time of the launch key on PinballFX to launch the ball (this is a more skilled solution, but you would have a delay between the release of the plunger and the launch of the ball corresponding to the time needed to press the enter key for releasing the ball with the same strength). ericleroi
That's a really kind offer bleasby. Thanks very much. I'll give this some thought once I've completed the R-Pod and get back on this project.
