I'm working on getting the snes going with zsnes and in rocket launcher I load a game I get the error could not find emulator/application "C:/ Emulators/zsnesw/zsnesw151/zsnesw.exe.

Is that the correct path for your zsnesw.exe? If not you have to set it on the Global -> Emulators tab.

I don't know where that path is I followed it from c drive and lost it right after c, lol. So in the snes tab under emulator I have default emulator is zsnesw.

In the same location agent47 pointed you to, make sure you define an extract path and in Global -> General Settings -> Third Party be sure to assign your 7z path.

OK got rid of the black screen and now i'm getting the error could not find game inside the archive with any defined Rom Extensions.  Check if you are missing the correct Rom Extensions for this rom for ZSNESw's Extensions, enable Rom_Match_Extension, or correct the file name inside the archive

That usually means that the rom file inside the zip/7z doesn't match the database name.

Its green while the rest are a pinky color, I'm in teh process of matching all games just getting each system dialed in.

If your roms are zip or 7z it only checks that name, not the name of the rom inside it. So it may show up green but the rom inside still may not be named correctly.

just looked and the files in my rom folder are 7z.  so what do I need to change and where?

Look at the rom file inside the 7z by opening it or extracting it. If the rom file in there doesn't match the database name for that game you'll have to rename it to match. If that's the case you can use the Rename Roms app in Don's HyperSpin tools so you don't have to do it manually.

I've been matching them so thanks for that tool. It worked for me in the NES system.  I extracted one file and its a .smc

Does the name of that smc file match the database name for that game? Also make sure that on the Global -> Emulators tab in RLUI, smc is listed as an extension for snes9x (it should be by default).

All the games are missing something in the name usually the (USA) part, once added it turns green.  Yes the smc is in there but i'm using the ZSNESw.

My fault, misread that one. smc isn't listed as an extension for ZSNESw by default, so you'll have to run a game directly through it (not through RL/HS) to make sure it can load smc files. If it does, you'll have to add smc to the extension list for ZSNESw in RocketLauncherUI.

No prob you've been a big help.  I tried running zsnes by itself and couldn't get it to bring up the games list.  But in RL it shows smc in the list of extensions among others for ZSNES.
