ward614 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Has anyone else experienced a blank box appearing in the bottom left corner of the window when they start Hyperspin? It appears to be a single line from a "right click" menu with no text and disappears when double clicked, but it is cramping the style of the frontend. A picture can be seen here: http://s27.postimg.org/r23pv7bbn/Capture.png
Avar Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 What version of Windows are you running? Also, are you running HyperSpin normally or is it set to boot with your OS? I haven't seen this before but the first thing I'd try would be to run HyperSpin as administrator and potentially experiment with disabling visual themes. Worst case scenario you could use a startup script to hide the desktop enitrely but I'd like to see if we can fix it natively first.
ward614 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 I am running Windows 10 and Hyperspin is set to run normally. Where does one edit the options on visual themes?
Styphelus Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Running Windows 10 here. Never seen anything like that.
Avar Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Same place as compatibility. Right click the exe and there should be a be options in there. Sorry but I'm on a Win7 PC atm and can't double check. Lemme know if it's not in there or if that doesn't work.
ward614 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Unfortunately, the option to remove visual themes is not available in Windows 10. (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c2cc5820-f19d-4f31-9862-11cebe3295c1/disable-visual-themes-windows-10?forum=win10itproapps) Changing compatibility modes to windows 7 doesn't solve the issue either, although that was a bit of a long shot.
Avar Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 While it's not a perfect fix, obviously, you could try the running old HideTaskbar ahk as a startup program in HyperHQ.
ward614 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Ok, while the solution wasn't running the Hide Taskbar, putting it in did lead me to find the problem. I had my previous startup program set as HS Startup, which I got from a link on this page quite a while ago. The problem goes away when that is removed, so a rewrote another .bat file to open my key mapper and replaced it. Problem solved! Thank you all for your help! My system is nearly done thanks in part to the great community here!
