RetroArch & Neo Geo... pulling my hair out.

Hey Guys,

So, I have retro-arch setup for the vast majority of my systems and it works fantastically (most of the time).

When I set all these systems up I test 2-3 games per wheel to make sure everything ran, and have been working my way through each wheel with a fine-toothed comb to set everything up how I want it.

Well now I am to the Neo Geo wheel and am running into a major problem:

The following games will not run:

Crossed Swords
Fatal Fury 2

Fight Fever

Flip Shot

Irritating Maze

King of Fighters '99

Legend of Success Joe

Magician Lord

Sengoku 3

Soccer Brawl

Street Hoop

Super Dodge Ball

Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer

World Heroes 2 Jet

Everything else seems to run flawlessly.

At first I thought that this was a BIOS issue, so I tried replacing and moving the neogeo.zip and no luck. I did confirm however that NO game would load without the file in my roms folder (even though my directory is set to the RetroArch>System folder.

I'm using the fba_libretro.dll core for this system, running Unibios 3.1. (I know there is a 3.2, but I can't figure out how to get RetroArch to load that one)

This system is otherwise completely finished, so I'd love to mark it off the list. I'd really appreciate any help you guys can give me. I spent all night yesterday screwing with it to no avail :(

So I figured this out and just wanted to share in case someone stumbles across this.

The issue was that Neo Geo (despite having a console mode) is still an arcade style emulation. Because of this, you have to have certain versions of each rom.

I found that FBA has it's own set, and downloaded the games that weren't working fixed the issue.
