wesfranks Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 In RocketLauncher, Modules tab, Global Settings Editor for Daphne- there is a Roms Settings tab where you can set specific rom settings per game. Check to see that you are running the "recommended" version or rom which for Space Ace is "Space Ace: Rev A3". You say that it works outside of RocketLauncher so I assume you have the correct rom and just trying to run the game with a different one in RocketLauncher. But just for the heck of it, open roms/ace.zip in your Daphne emulator roms folder. It should have 5 rom files from sa_a3_u1.bin to sa_a3_u5.bin numbered sequentially. According to your log, Daphne is choking on that file specifically sa_a3_u1.bin. Assuming you have or get the "u1.bin" and not the others, it will choke on the next file one at a time until you supply them, so Google-Space Ace: Rev A3. Might be an answer there. I dunno.
jrose1184 Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 it wont allow me to open up the rom zip file ace.
wesfranks Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 OK, two exe files in the Daphne emulator folder- DaphneLoader.exe and Daphne.exe. DaphneLoader.exe has a torrent download function upon start that locks access to all files including the roms files. It can be minimized to the system tray and is easy to forget about. Once you get your files and games working, you want to be very careful executing DaphneLoader because at times it just starts rewriting your files, including changes to the framefiles that you may need to get things working in RocketLauncher. If it is in that rewrite cycle, it can lead to incomplete file downloads. Hopefully, it is just using you as a seeder for the torrent. If DaphneLoader is running, stop it and exit out of the program. Also, check the vldp folder and make sure the extensions of the files are normal. DaphneLoader appends all files mid-transfer or seeding (I believe "bf" extension). They should be dat, m2v, ogg, and txt. Also, after stopping DaphneLoader, recheck your roms files and see if you can access the zip files. If the ace.zip file is accessible, check that the 5 files from above are in the zip. If so, your files should be OK. Are you using "Daphne" or "Daphne Loader" for launching with RocketLauncher. You must use "Daphne.exe". I think you are according to your log above. Your problem was likely just DaphneLoader locking your files. If your rom is unlocked and otherwise correct, try to restart Space Ace in RocketLauncher. If working, verify that other games in the Daphne system load OK. If all is good, I'd advise backing up your Daphne setup and be careful in the future opening DaphneLoader.
