nuklhed86 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Hello, I'm new to this awesome hobby & I'm currently stuck & looking for your expertise. I went step by step( http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2187-how-to-install-hyperspin/)%C2'> how to install, Hyperspin, Rocketlauncher & MAME. I have an older laptop that runs a 32bit system and was wondering if this is my issue. I installed MAME 0.171 for my system. The emulator works when I run it on it's own but when I try to launch Hyprespin it will not load any game whatsoever. When I run the audit on RocketlauncherUI all the roms show up red. Any help, suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
nuklhed86 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Thanks for your quick response @agent47. I'm able to manually launch the games through Rocketlauncher but in Hyperspin i still get nothing. All of the paths seem to be correct but still nothing. Any other suggestions? Thanks again!
nuklhed86 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Now I'm getting an error window in Hyperspin after selecting a game that says "Make sure your rom ext do not contain a ." ?
nuklhed86 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 So yes I did have one too many paths in my settings.ini < Thanks @agent47 Now I'm getting an error: 'You cannot have a Rom Path set to the same path used for your sevenZExtractPath otherwise your roms may be deleted: C\Games\MAME" Never seen that one before!
nuklhed86 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Still getting the same error after folder creation ;(
wesfranks Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 MAME is natively compatible with zip and 7z roms. You should not be unzipping them during the loading process, nor should they be transferred to the "unzip" path. Disable 7z in the settings tab in RocketLauncher for the MAME system.
nuklhed86 Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 It's up & running now! Thanks for all of your help & guidance! Much appreciated! > Now to build on this & figure out how to get art & vids to make it more appealing
