Hi all. I have recently started to make a HyperSpin cabinet, just thought I'd post up a few progress pics!

First step, collect cabinet :-)

Here's a quick pic of the cabinet before starting

I tried to sand the inside of the screen edge as it has a curved monitor in before, but because of the angle it was creating some strange shapes in the corners, so I decided to go to town on it, hacksaw style!

Two edges almost done

Getting the edges perfect by using a low grade sandpaper curled around my finger

Three sides now done

Cabinet front now screwed back onto the main cab with all buttons reconnected

Stage 1 complete. I am now planning on priming the unit and respraying at some of the silver paint has flaked. I also now have some acrylic sheeting with black matt vinyl ready to make the surround for my monitor that is smaller than the current window. Pics soon!

Cheers mate. I had it up an running last week with the monitor just resting on the outside with the stand. I was planning on setting the resolution to 1024x746 so that I had a 4:3 ratio on my 20" widescreen, but having seen that it's a bit smaller than this area now, I'm tempted to try find a larger native 4:3 screen on eBay now ;-)

Here's a quick vid from when I had the screen sat in there before I started hacking the inner screen. I'm sure you've seen this kind of setup a few times though ;-)
