dmd size

Hi,

i need to be clear on something

Are all dmd sizes the same? What i really need to know are they all the same aspect ratio?

The Vishay DMD has Viewing Area: 12.75" [323.8 mm] (W) x 3.15" [80.01 mm] (H)

Because this is such a popular dmd i use this as a guide.

i have a 9 inch 16:9 ratio lcd for a small cabinet.

It has a Active area 198.000(W) mm × 111.696(H) mm

so to make a hole with the correct dmd ratio i need to make one

198mm (W) x 50mm (H) right?

Std DMd hole size is 13.5x3.5 with 1/4" rounded corners

DMd hole size is 13.5x3.5

so my 9 inch 16:9 lcd is only 198mm wide (7.8 inch)

then my height must be 2 inch? for the correct ratio?

I might be doing my math wrong, but I come out with 7.8" wide x 1.3" high to keep the same ratio (12.75" x 3.15")
