kalimah Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 All my roms end in .col or .7z Archive. I cannot for the life of me get hyperspin to recognize these roms. As with atari 5200, all my roms end in .bin and they aren't recognized either. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
pinsanity Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 either the file extension type hasn't been added to the list recognised by the emulator you are using or the rom file names themselves don't match the database you are using or the system name itself is named incorrectly in your setup (Atari 5200 needs a capital A, ColecoVision needs a capital V.)
kalimah Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 I have ColecoVision types correctly. The rom names must be incorrect then. I'm most positive mess recognizes .col
pinsanity Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 When you load up rocketlauncher and audit the games for the two systems do the games listed show up red or green?
kylecp1979 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 What emulator are you trying to use? Does it work outside of rocketlauncher?
kalimah Posted May 1, 2016 Author Posted May 1, 2016 The ColecoVision .col and .7z Archive roms don't show up in rocketlaucher either. I have tried Mess and retroarch and nothing shows up like my atari 2600 roms do. Same with my atari 5200 .bin roms. How do i get the correct spelling for all the roms? Can you point me in the correct direction on a tutorial or something? Thanks for the help so far!

I used Don's Renaming Tool (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11125-dons-hyperspin-tools-43-beta-significant-rom-renamer/). All of my Colecovision ROMs got renamed correctly (140/140), but I cannot get them to launch with RetroArch. Launching them through RLUI just exits back to RLUI. I know RetroArch can do it but does anyone know why it's not working?
