Mini-pac hyperspin MAME setup

Hi. I'm relatively new to setting the software so please forgive me if the question is relatively simple.

I've setup Hyperspin (MAME only) with approximately 150 games. The themes, ROMs etc are perfectly fine and when connecting a keyboard all function as they should. Based on this I'd say MAME and Hyperspin are performing as they should and setup correctly. Next step is connecting my Mini-Pac to the controller I've made. Once again quite simple compared to others. It has 6 buttons, a Mag Stik Plus joystick, Spintrak spinner, Player 1 and 2 buttons and a single coin button. When all connected and checking against the interactive designer it would appear they are all connected correctly and to the MAME defaults.

The problem appears when I connect the Mini-Pac via USB and launch Hyperspin. I can't select any games and the wheel continues to spin. It does not function as it did with the keyboard.

Have any of you seen this before and or do you know where I may need to look?

Cheers

Has anyone got an answer for this? I am having the same problem. The wheel keeps spinning and moving the joystick only stops it for a second, before it starts spinning again. It also causes issues with my mouse and keyboard after exiting, where the left mouse button stops working and the keyboard becomes intermittent. Thanks for reading

HyperSpin has a bug with analog control.

The best you can do is to open HyperHQ, disable joystick control, download a keymapper (xpadder or joytokey are recommended), and create a mapping from your minipac controls to your keyboard keys.
