rastan Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 For a while I've been playing with the idea of using .bat files to handle my multiple main menu's.... but never really bothered to do it because having multiple .xml's seemed like a pain in the ass using a script with them all in the same directory.. I guess I never thought about it until today but I said why not just make multiple folders and move each .xml to their own folder. I only have 4 main menu's right now but plan on setting up more to suit whatever mood I'm in.. and for the most part I already know what kind of mood I'm in before I start hyperspin so I don't need to switch between main menus while hyperspin is running.... so the BAT file method works perfectly for me when I wanna launch hyperspin. The way it's set up is pretty simple... in my databases/main menu, I have 4 folders set up. /Arcades (Mame and all arcades mame handles + Sammy + Naomi + Sega Model 2, etc) /Consoles (Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, N64, etc) /Gamer (Mame and all the kick ass arcades like Naomi & Taito Type X1/X2, PC Games, and PS1, PSP, etc) /Main (Basically every system I have installed on my HS) I have a folder on my desktop called HYPERSPIN BATS and within it I have 4 .bat files named after each folder... Each BAT file will basically copy the main menu.xml from it's own folder back to the databases/main menu folder and will launch Hyperspin.
