Lightgun mame troubleshooting when i press lightgun trigger quickly

Can anyone be of assistance to help me with a lightgun problem? when I use lightgun and play virtua cop (mame hyperspin) for instance the screen goes haywire when i press trigger quickly and screen goes back to windows desktop but i can hear game running in background of hyperspin?  This only happens with light gun games. I think its a setting in windows but forgot how to fix it . Thanks a lot for any help:)

Don't use Mame, use the Sega model 2 emulator. Then configure troubleshooter 2. It works like a charm once you get it all configured.
