Custom Joy Names Disabled

I've been trying to set up my Xpadder to play nice with rocket launcher and hyper spin and am having no luck. I get this error when i try and launch a game "custom_joy_names is set to true and no value was found..." Is there a way to set it to false? I can't seem to find the right area in rocket launcher,
