using a presentation pointer or xbox360 gun for laser games?

Hi guys, so i just bought an xbox 360 gun(i think it's the cableas one) which i was going to just use the shell and order the sensor bar and sensor assembly from ultimarc to install into the shell but i got thinking....we can use the xbox360 gamepad for games so would i be able to use this gun as is with the sensor bar that came with it and a bluetooth dongle for the laser games? anyone done this?.....or if that won't work how about a presentation pointer......i've read that bluetooth dongles will make aae crash and well i don't wanna lose my vector games which i spent ages making a spinner for so what do you guys think?....the presentation pointer?

i think the question is probably does the emulator support it? like you can use the wiiMote with dolphin. 

 

maybe this can help you its some usb lightgun that supposedly mimics mouse and gamepad movements..

yea....i tried it and it doesn't work....i ended up getting a wiimote and setting that up, it works but not as good as i'd like, it will suffice until i can order from ultimarc.

What sensor bar do you have? Could possibly give better tracking if you buy/make one with more leds and spacing unlike those cheapo little ones , like this one.

Im actually using a wireless one that came with the Xbox 360 rifle.....it doesn't seem too bad for tracking but I'm always trying to do better so I'll try more IR LEDs
