Sound in Hyperspin but Not in Mame

Hey Everyone,

 

I know this is more of a Mame problem most likely, but I figured I'd ask cause I was already here in this forum haha.

 

Recently something got changed in my setup, and I can't figure out what... But it seems like all games in Mame have no sound (it's possible it's just some, because when the issue first arised I could swear some games still had sound and some didn't, but now it seems like every game I try has none), but the menus in Hyperspin have sound.

 

Any idea what I might have changed? I'm also setup with RocketLauncher.

did you check the emulators sound option and does it have sound outside of hyperspin?

It appears that running Mameuifx and running a game has no sound, and that's the emulator that's being used by hyperspin. however just regular old mame has sound. so the problem must be with the mameuifx settings but i can't figure out what setting would be wrong... any ideas?
