rrichter Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Sorry in advance if there is another thread on this, but I've created new systems like intellivision, GBC, Game Boy DS, wonderswan and wonderswan color. I have media packs in them all and working vids and secondary wheel art boxes and ect. But the default wheel art still show basic blue writing. I checked the icons folder and the names match and there is wheel art .png in all the folders but it still shows blue basic writing on my wheel. Any suggestion would be great. Ty.
Avar Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Just to clarify since I'm not sure what you're getting at with regards to the icons folder, game wheels in system menus should be placed in HyperSpin/Media/<System Name>/Images/Wheel. Is that how you have yours?
BATTLEDONKEY Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 If you are referring to the console/arcade wheel art not showing up (I.e. mame, Nintendo game boy logos) they go inside HyperSpin/Media/Main Menu/Images/Wheel
rrichter Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 Ty, i will check to make sure I'll looking in the correct location when i get home and go from there
rastan Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 the system name being spelled correctly has nothing to do with the default wheel art showing up. Are your roms matching your media files? the rom name has to match the default wheel art for the games.
rastan Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 It would if it's the system wheels on the main menu that aren't showing. The problem is the rrichter's post isn't very clear as to what wheel images are missing, whether it be system wheels or game wheels. Like others mentioned, system wheels go in the HyperSpin/Media/Main Menu/Images/Wheel directory and game wheels go in the HyperSpin/Media/%SystemName%/Images/Wheel directory. In either situation the image file name should match the system/game name exactly, including capitalization. Yeah, I was going to mention that if the system wheel wasn't showing up it could be something as simple as using CAPS... which caused me some headaches when I first started messing with all this stuff. they weren't too clear with the original post
rrichter Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Ok the second reply helped me fix my first problem of my new systems logos showing as default blue text up on my main wheel but now I have 3 system logos that only show the artwork after I open 1 of them. Then they default to the image that was set to them. So imagine the PlayStation logo is basic blue writing with no artwork then when u open PlayStation and esc out it looks like the PlayStation logo we all have come to love. This is all on the main wheel nothing with Rom artwork.
rrichter Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Ty it was that simple I swear I had copied and pasted the names but I guess I didn't. Stupid S in wonderswan was killing me.
