Game select screen

Hi Guys

 

why do i get the game select screen (mame front end) when i launch a game from RL or HS? ive got the bios packs installed but still no joy its happening with 10-15 games, to name a few after burner 2, double dragon vs battletoads, chase HQ

do you have 7z disabled and skip checks on rom only

7z is enabled and skip checks is set to rom extension

if i need a certain bios for loading certain roms and my roms are stored in d:\roms\mame do i put the bios files in the same folder or do they go in the roms folder under where the emaulator is ie c:\Hperspin\emulators\mame\roms ?
