Frustrating
Tomkun Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Unless there is a specific reason you are using win-uae, I'd recommend that you at least try out fs-uae. They are both based on the same engine, so compatibility is identical, but fs-uae takes out a lot of the guesswork and has a much nicer interface for gaming to boot. Win-uae is certainly a lot more powerful in terms of customising your emulated machine; I myself always use it for emulating workbench and for working on files, but for gaming fs-uae is a lot simpler.
Tomkun Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 No worries. I often think that FS-UAE is an underappreciated emulator, so I like to sing its praises when I can. Good luck!
patto Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 I downloaded it and started it but I think I need to buy a kickstart program to get things working? Still open to anyone who can help me configure win uae controls/
Tomkun Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 What are you trying to run out of interest? You won't be able to run anything without kickstart.

Still open to anyone who can help me configure win uae controls/ Kickstart are the roms not programs... and you should have Kickstart roms if you are using WinUAE.. they should be in their folder. I think I tried to get FS going before but had problems setting up.. not sure if I even put too much energy into but I remember having it and then just setup WinUAE. As a former Amiga die-hard user.. I think WinUAE has everything an Amiga user would need to feel comfortable away from a real Amiga.
patto Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 I am trying to load up maniac mansion I can load it up but cant get the mouse cursor arrows to move.
Tomkun Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 In Win-UAE, FS-UAE or both? If you can get it to load then it's not a kickstart issue. Sounds like you have an issue with your configuration somewhere, but I couldn't tell you what it was as the mouse should "just work". Does the mouse work in other games?
Tomkun Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Hang on... Maybe I see your problem. Why do you have your mouse set to emulate a gamepad?
patto Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 I have no idea mate, I have just set up all my wheels with roms and now I am working on having my controllers working .. What do you think I need to do any help please
Styphelus Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 FS-UAE is next to impossible to get running in Rocketlauncher. I still haven't been able to get it going using the WHDLoad set despite some people over at their forums trying to help.
Tomkun Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 The current version of the FS-UAE module for rlauncher doesn't support WHDLoad, that's why. I updated it so it does work, here. Please try that and get back to me if it works or not. I've been using that for over a month now with no problems but have received absolutely zero feedback from anyone.
