Mykillvee Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 I'm not sure what's going on with this one. I'm trying to set up more emulators to run through Hyperspin without the use of Rocketlauncher (because I can't stand the complexity of it). I've been using HyperHQ and launching MAME games through the normal setting. But when I use the same setting to launch any other emulator, such as Jnes, it will launch the game, but the Hyperwheel screen will freeze and the emulator will be running in the background. I can hear the sound coming from the game, but the screen is frozen in Hyperspin. Any ideas on what I should do? FYI, the games were tested and run fine through Hyperlaunch.
Avar Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 There's no "normal" setting. The reason RocketLauncher is important is so we don't have to rely upon our own manually policed and infinitely more complex modules, which don't really exist anymore beyond that which is archived. Without it, you can expect to constantly run into issues like that. I assure you, RocketLauncher is easy-street compared to trying to function without it specifically because the programmers have already fixed all of these sorts of problems so we don't have to. If you follow these guides to the letter, you'll be up and running and up to date in no time and I specifically cover the NES as an example in one of the vids, which can be extrapolated for any other similar system like the SNES. You will thank yourself later for doing it clean via RocketLauncher rather than slogging through the mess of self-programming you're flirting with that we had to endure a decade ago.
Mykillvee Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Thanks! Maybe I'll give RockerLauncher another shot. I will try to follow the tutorial on that one, and hopefully get everything up and running. Thanks again!
Avar Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 np and if you need a hand at all feel free to ask. In the long run, it should make life a lot easier.
