kr0nic Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Hey guys, Bit of a weird one, not sure if other people have this same issue or if i am just doing somthing wrong. My issue is that i have multiple Emulators installed, Epsxe, PCXS2, SNES, Sega Model 2 ect. I also have multiple controllers, SNES controller, NES controller, Dual Shock 4, Light Gun. I plan on adding a few more systems to my setup soon (Dreamcast, N64) however the issue is whenever i plug in another USB controller, it changes all my previously attached USB devices names/IDs. Example, Epsxe & Sega Model 2 Emulator are setup to use my Dual Shock 4 controller, this controller has been setup as 'Joy3'. But when i plug another USB controller into the computer it changes my Dual Shock from 'Joy3' to 'Joy4' which means that controller stops working with Epsxe and Sega Model 2. So my real question is, can i FORCE usb devices to have a static ID ? Or do they just change randomly whenever you add another USB device ? Hope i made sense thanks guys, id really appreciate any help
Avar Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 This topic on the Bliss-Box forums should help you. That shouldn't be an issue on Windows 10 though, if you haven't upgraded yet. I used to run USB controllers but have since switched to Bliss-Box.
kr0nic Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Thank you Im still not 100% convinced that The bliss box would fix my issues, it just seems like a USB hub to me ? I may try upgrading to windows 10.... cheaper option But then again it may cause more harm then good
