phulshof Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 For emulation purposes I doubt you'll see a huge difference between these two, but perhaps someone has a more experienced view on the matter. [emoji3]Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
rastan Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 as always depends on what you plan on running on it... but for the most part those two systems look like they'll handle very well! at that level in my honest opinion it will come down to which has the better graphics are or maybe even better processor... those are the main issues but I'm not familiar with the specs on those processors or graphics cards. I definitely would be more interested in which one had the newest generation processor but at the i7 level... if one had the better graphics card.. I'd choose that one. the biggest problem with emulation these days isn't a fast enough processor but a beefy graphics card to handle some of the load especially with systems like PS2, Wii, WiiU, and any other emulator that benefits from a beefy graphics card. the differences in those two setups may not be that much of a difference but I did notice one had 6gig and the other had 8gig graphics
Plastron Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks both, I have gone for the higher spec one as I got a 10% discount which made them both the same price. So will get to have a play this weekend with how well it works Gamecube and Sega not running on the current i3 with 2g or ram so this should eat them. I would like up to Wii and maybe wii U to work well on this new machine Andy
