Joytokey not working when returning to first wheel

I have watch too many videos and messed around too much without asking for help. Can't get away from this issue.

 

Fyi. Using 360 controller

Boots up fine

Can select games on 5 different emulators

When Exiting game with the centre button goes back to that systems games menu and I can choose another game for that systems. If I press back again and go to the main system select menu my controller stops working until I press ESC twice on the actual keyboard to bring up the exit menu. Then I select no and I can now use controller again.

 

Any help would be great.
