Using the search in hyperspin

When you hold the arrow button or is your joystick to the left or the right this will activate the hyper spin search  function however I've noticed on two systems and on the main menu when I hold the arrow button it will not bring up the letters this only happens on two systems, NES and SNES all of my other systems the search function will work.   Is there a setting in hyper spin or in rocket launcher I need to set so that these two will also search?

SOLVED EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!  The Game count for the search function to work I Found is 22!!!!!!!!!!
