metroplex2k7 Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Ok, so I am trying to load PSX games using RetroArch through RL. Everything appears to be right but when I load a game, I get this message: I am using the current version of RetroArch, HS, & RL.
elements604 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 First of all turn off fade , its likely that retroarch is giving you an error in the background. If you check your log you can see what file rocketlaucher is sending to retroarch. It could be a few things. 1) make sure inside the cue file points to the correct bin file (try loading the game through retroarch, also try opening the cue in notepad to check it matches the name) I also h ad troubles with multidisc games such as final fantasy 7 as rocketlaucnher was sending the m3u file but it was causing retroarch to crash. I had to rename the multi disc games because rocketlauncher wasnt allowing me to disable multidisc.
BATTLEDONKEY Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 You didn't mention if you have the correct bios files for PlayStation in your retroarch/system folder, and make sure they are named correct. If you are unsure of the proper names you can load up the PlayStation core in retroarch then click the info button in the settings and it will list which bios files are required for the loaded core
metroplex2k7 Posted June 2, 2017 Author Posted June 2, 2017 There are 3 cores for the PSX in RA. I got all 3 of them. Once I get the psx bios, where would I put it?

Place it in the retroarch/system folder. Also open up retroarch and in the settings scroll to directory and inside that check if system/bios points to the same retroarch/system folder, it should already be pointing there by default. Pretty much all disc based systems will need bios files for retroarch to run them
