CAS0311 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 This is a real newbie question, but Hyperspin will run multiple MAME emulators correct? Being that I have MAME roms from many different versions of MAME, I just need to keep adding them in the pathway in RL correct? Or do I need to get ROMS from one version and stick with it?
Avar Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 You can but this is likely a case where spending a few minutes googling will help you find something a bit more homogeneous. Can't really talk about it much more than that in here though what with it being rom related.

Latest MAME set is supposed to have the most updated ROMs, so no need to run older MAME/ROMs versions. Or is there any old ROM you like which isn't in the lastest MAME release?
rastan Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 unless we're talking pacman and donkey kong... and games that haven't been changed since they were added to mame chances are you may want to avoid mame roms from various versions of mame and just find the latest mame set and emulator. if the mame roms you have work fine with the version of mame you have then just add it to hyperspin and all should be fine but if you're going to update to a newer version of mame...its better to get the latest set.
