Some theme's sounds keep playing during MAME play

An example is Area 51. If I launch the game at a certain time during a gunshot sound when in Hyperspin, that sound will continue playing in a loop when in MAME. Is the only fix getting a new theme for that game?

That happens with themes that have flash content, even the specials in the lower part keep playing even after HyperSpin loses focus.

There is a setting in Rocketlauncher to "Suspend frontend" when you launch an emulator. You can try that to see if that helps.
