FIRST GAME LAUNCH IS VERY SLOW, SUBSEQUENT LAUNCH ARE FINE

I'm running Hyperspin on Windows 7 in conjunction with Rocketlauncher, everything works fine, BUT the very first ROM I attempt to execute (regardless of the system - MAME or others) always takes a very loooooong time to load - sometimes 20 seconds or longer. I hit the start button -- and Hyperspin just sits idle for a lengthy period -- and then all of a sudden, Rocketlauncher takes over (as expected) and boots the ROM. The funny thing is -- this only happens the very first time I launch a ROM. After I launch the first ROM, exit back to HS, and launch other ROMs, everything works as expected (i.e., no delays whatsoever).

Granted, this is a minor annoyance, but I'd like to eliminate the delay if its possible.

Initially, I thought the delay might be caused by Windows processes loading in the background during the boot process, but I've ruled this out. The delay always occurs when I boot the first ROM -- even if I allow Windows to fully boot and wait an extended period of time (e.g., an hour) before executing Hyperspin.

I also explored the possibility that the delay might be caused by Windows Defender, but I turned off Defender and the problem persists.

I guess this could be some sort of focus issue, but I really don't understand why this delay only occurs the first time I boot a ROM? Or perhaps Rocketlauncher runs through some initial checks/audits the very first time it is executed (but not subsequently) Or it creates a files on every first start and once its done its fine

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Do you have your log set to troubleshoot in rocketlauncher? If so, turn it off.

Thanks for trying to help me,  it was set on «error» and i did turned it off, but unfortunatly i still have the same issue. I also turned off windows defender, but no luck still same issue when starting my first game which takes around 15-20 seconds to load. Once i launched the very first game, subsequent loads are instantanious. So it must be generating a file or scanning something on the first launch that takes 15-20 seconds. Its just very annoying since i am using it in my arcade cabinet that i built from scratch. If i can make this work, my cabinet will be completed, this is the only issue i still have to figure out. Any more help would be more than appreciated, thanks in advance. Also i have nothing install other than win 7 on this pc, everything is turned off, no anti-virus nothing. So it has to be related only to rocketlauncher / Hyperspin

I updated my HDD driver, problem solved. Lesson of the day, always keep your driver up to date, thanks for your help
