Switch Emulator Controls On The Fly

Hi all,

My question is, has anyone experienced changing emulator controls on the fly?  Can you swap out emulator ini files using the modules?  The only thing I can think of is to have three sets of the emulator folders data but call them "mouse" and "gamepad" respectively.

I currently have HyperLaunch running with multiple emulators.  I have two Minipac encoders and I setup each emulator individually and all is working well.

I am interested in adding two Aim-Trak lightguns, which emulate the mouse.  I will need to change from standard keyboard input to mouse input for gun games.  Example: NullDC supports either key input , xinput or DC Keyboard/Mouse.  I may also add some analog gamepads in the future too, which may further require switching controller inputs on the fly.

I know Xpadder  may work but I read they may add latency and I already have the Minipacs setup for keyboard output.

I appreciate any insight.

You can do this only if you emulate keyboard into a joystick

Then you can edit what each button does on the fly.

I had to come up with workarounds to make D-pads work in specific games like MKSM for pcsx2

Basically you turn the movements into dpad by holding a specific button, and then while its pressed - left movement would press a dpad key that is hooked to a keyboard hotkey.

You can also try to play around with URC, it lets you change profiles on the fly with a hotkey
