Martin0037 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Hi guys. This may have been asked before but I can’t seem to find anything definitive for exactly what I’m trying to do so here goes... I’ve only ever had mame on my system . 1 wheel, loads of games (just mame) I’ve just sort of got model 2 running on it but I only want maybe about 6 model2 games Is there a way I can have just 1 wheel as before with both mame & model 2 games on together? As now I have obviously a main menu wheel with mame and model 2 on thanks.
rastan Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 basically what you want to do is use the alternative emulator thing in RL... if you're using RL. just add model 2 as the alternative emulator for the model 2 games you want. the process would be something like merge the mame xml and model 2 xml... then add the games in RL... setting up the alternative emulator. maybe someone else can do a step by step detailed response if you're still not sure how to do it.
Martin0037 Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 That’s great. Thanks for your help. ?
r0man0 Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Hi , you can use hyperxmlspin to merge systems , genre or anything else to create a wheel . it takes just five minutes.
Martin0037 Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 Are there any tutorials or guides on how to do this? Thanks.
Martin0037 Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 Just watched it. Gonna need to watch this quite a few more times I think. Does this have to run in the background? Or do you just use it once to create a xml so model 2 games will appear in mame wheel?
r0man0 Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 You Can use or as an application just to create your custom XML that will create automaticly your new wheels. First : you have to create à dedicated new main wheel with 2 systems , then you create 2 genres for each system into this main wheel
