The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

SOLVED - Unable to get the MAME wheel in HS to display only available ROMs

Before reading below Disregard. I recreated the ini file and replaced the old one. I can only assume that it was somehow corrupted but it is working now.

So I've decided I don't want or need 9000+ games in the MAME wheel and I'm going to move more slowly setting up just a core number of them, so I don't want a wheel that displays thousands of games that will not be in the ROMs folder.

First I went through RL and confirmed that only the ROMs I want are available ... Check

Next, Went into HQ and under the MAME wheel folder I set a ROM path since I was told it is needed if you're only displaying available ROMs - Double Check

The I went into Navigation/Themes within the MAME wheel folder and selected the filter for ROMs only.

Next, I confirmed the filters are properly set in the Mame.ini file in the settings folder per a prior suggestion from Bungles that worked at the time.

Now, I launch HS and when it comes up to MAME I suspect I should hit enter and only see the ROMs I have loaded .... Nope. It doesn't show any at all and bounces back to the MAME main as if there are no ROMs available at all ... sigh ....

Can someone point me in the right direction about a setting I am obviously missing. This isn't covered in any of the tutorials I went though ... Any chance there is more complete documentation on options setup located somewhere that I'm missing so I wont be such a pest about each of these issues? I like to do the research but the reference material doesn't seem to exist.

Oh well ... any guidance would be lovely folks. Thank you .....
