The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

I had another thread going in the platinum members section but I think it probably belongs here. I'm rebuilding my HS with newer versions and RL and so far I've got most of it figured out. Sony (EPSXE) Atari 2600 (Stella) Coleco (MESS), MAME and PBFX2 are all working pretty well. Now I've got to do the following.

1. I'd like to add Jukebox via RL if possible. Reason I'd like it to be through RL is because I think I can then force a resolution on this app. If anyone knows how to do this let me know. I'm not sure what to put in for the ROM path on this.

2. Dragon's Lair 2 won't run on Daphne. I think this requires some special settings for this particular game but I'm not sure how to do this.

3.  PBFX2 & 3... When I select either one, it hangs for about three seconds with about 20 percent of the wheel art showing on the right side before it 'wakes up' and brings it over. I didn't have any issues like this on my previous HS version so I'm not sure what's going on here.

4. Pinball FX3... I can launch into this but it takes me to the main menu. I've asked for a cabinet support pin and am working on this. Will update as I progress.

That's about it for now. Other than this I'm pretty damn close to having all of this done with. Thanks for all the help folks.

One more question on this... On some games and apps a window appears that is a windows system32 command exe. Any way to hide these from showing?

That's cool. Can you play fullscreen videos as well?

I've tried to fix DL2 but to no avail. I've posted it to Pastebin if somebody wants to have a look. https://pastebin.com/hhp88aP5

Also, I've got a cabinet code for PBFX3 now. I can get it to launch but it's buggy as the assistant in PBFX3 seems to interfere with things. Exiting is also messed up because the game seems to want to pause instead. Any suggestions on what I can do there?

Ah, thanks.

I'm using an app called Jukecade. It works great but it can occassionally be buggy with resolutions. That's why I thought RL might be the way to go.

How do you map the ROMs when setting up your jukebox? Do you just set it to where your songs are?

In the settings you can tell the program where the roms/songs are.
If you make 3 folders, then you see this in the jukebox. Like the tur on YouTube.

I have a couple of possible solutions for you...

2.) I gave up on Daphne I downloaded the PC versions of Dragons Lair 1 & 2, not sure if it helps but it's an alternative.

3.) Regarding the screen hanging I've found that this happens when you haven't changed the video format from ".mp4" to ".flv" in the (.../Hyperspin/Media/["Insert System Name Here"]/Video) folder check for that i'm pretty sure that's what's hanging it up. It may be any one of the files in that folder not necessarily the one you're looking at.
