TheMadMan007 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I'm having a really tough time getting WinVice to load up in Hyperspin. I followed the guide here But I'm still getting this error. I can open the emulator up in Windows and load the few games that I have extracted from the zip files, but trying to launch the emulator in Hyperlauncher HQ or Hyperspin itself throws up this error. Anyone got a clue on what I am doing wrong? Also I wanted to make sure that I am doing this right, I need to have the games extracted right? so instead of .zip it has to be extracted and renamed to the XML file name and then the .d64 or .t64 right?

Hi, users usually get that error when they have not fully updated their HyperLaunch setup. As a function is added to HyperLaunch, if you don't have all the supporting files also, you will get this error. Two things to do: 1). Update all your HyperLaunch files through GIT: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?31472-Complete-Guide-for-Commodore-Amiga-in-HS-and-RL-Using-WinUAE-Only&p=304130&viewfull=1#post304130 2). If you still get this error, post your logs as shown here:http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?31072-The-HyperNoobie-Guide-For-Posting-To-The-Fourm Your games can still be in compressed format, you must have 7z support enabled through HLHQ though. If you keep them zipped, you only need to have the zip extension in HyperHQ. Otherwise, yes, you can extract them all and put both d64 and t64 as extensions. Hope this helps.
