Don's List Generator Issues XML

So I made the unfortunate mistake of downloading the 0.206 Release. As there appears to be no special xmls or other updated files (controls etc) I'm having to try to do this all manually myself.

I have both Don's Hyperspin tools 4.2.6, 4.3.26 versions working with "List Generator" & Mame64. I have started the applications in Administrator mode and Set compatibility in Mame64.exe to run as Administrator.

Select the newest 0.206 Mame XML from the MAME dats list as there is no current .206 on the Hyperlists. Upon Scanning it asks to hit Mame up for the        -listxml command to fill it in, Hit "Ok" and return the following error:

Could not create a MAME list XML file
Executing "path"......... -listxml
failed (return code 1)

the path on the error is correct, I have ran the -listxml >mame.dat from the command line and it works just, fine tried flipping it to an XML and passing that as the source to List Generator and the process repeats, tried clicking "No" and just read the source it has and it generates absolutely nothing. 

I have looked at both of the xml lists in notepad++ and they are populated, so what gives?
