RetroJay Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Hey guys. I've searched the web for a solution ti this error but i couldnt find any.. Anyone else managed to solve thos error? Everytime i quit project 64 emulator i get a directx3d8 error saying "ChangeWindow exception" Thanks in advance!
Latch Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Are you using version 1.6? (I think thats the one I used and got the same error) I changed to version Project64 v2.0.0.14 and the error went after that.
RetroJay Posted June 18, 2014 Author Posted June 18, 2014 Nope i use project64 v2.0.0.14, same as you thats the weird thing...
Latch Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Might be nothing, but I am trying to remember how I solved it: Have you set P64 to exit completely when you press ESC I remember that being an issue and the reason I upgraded the P64 emulator to V 2.0.0.14? If not to do it: Options> Settings>Keyboard Shortcuts at the top change it to game playing (fullscreen) open the + on OPTIONS, select fullscreen and remove the ESC key that is assigned to it (If ESC Isnt assigned to it search for where ESC is assigned and remove it) then open the + on FILE MENU and click EXIT and remove the option selected and assign ESC to it, apply and that should hopefully fix it. If so then I am all out of ideas for now.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I used to use 1.6 then upgraded too. In the end I went back to 1.6 as the Emu was just too buggy to use with this front end. It maybe a better Emu slightly but the 1.6 is far more stable with hyperspin. In fact I went with the modded version of 1964 after all the hassle. Once you get it going you dont have any worries at all. Trust me... even if you get Project 64 working (amazing emu), after a while things will go wrong. Simply Austin's YouTube
Latch Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Would you mind telling me what version of 1964 you use pal?
Ryan_Harmonic Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I get the same problem using version 1.6 Project 64 , i might try 1964 then? , is it just a problem with some set ups

I think the error is a bug happening when you have a button assigned to different functions, in my case it was the ESC button, and that did it!
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 The 1964 is ... 1964 ULTRAFAST It has been modded to run faster than it should but still keep full speed Simply Austin's YouTube
