Emulator Exiting problems

Hi Everyone, first time poster, been reading forum for a bit. spent a bit of time in last 2 months setting up hyper spin, emulators are

pj64 1.6

nestopia

zsnes

psx2

dolphin

fusion

kawaks

epsxe

I've checked the forums and google searched also, everything i seem to find is either very old or i can't access it on this forum for some reason.

so i have a bunch of questions, but ill limit them for my first post. let me start by saying, i am not good at this. i have most things working the way i want except the following but if your suggestion is pasting code somewhere, and ill really appreciate it, but ill need to know where to paste it.

can i make all emulators exit with the same key? (esc or alt f4) i.e.

pj64 only exits with alt f4 (esc it doesn't exit properly needing a ctrl alt delete)

epsxe only exits with esc

kawaks won't shut down at all without a ctrl alt delete

also, epsxe takes a long time between pressing "enter" and actually loading anything

i think that'll do for this post. thanks so much

Excellent thks, any ideas on the emulators not shutting down properly? I. E. Kawaks needing a Cntrl alt delete shutdown.

In addition, it's hyperlaunch that I need to force quit using ctrlaltdelete to be able to relaunch another neogeo rom

Which means I'm posting this in the wrong section I guess. If someone can move it for me that'd be great, otherwise I'll repost in hyperlaunch area in a day or two. Cheers

Define your exit keys as said. Then also define them inside the emulator itself by opening the emulator outside of hyperspin.

Hello, I am having the same issue with exiting out of any emulator. It simply wont work on my tankstick and Hyperspin 3. When you say define your exit keys are you referring to hyperlaunch.ahk with the exitScriptKey or exitEmulatorKey commands? When I change this nothing happens as it seems to not take. Also I am a noob with autohotkey. Since using RocketLauncher do I need to use Autohotkey application to compile? As krojsy mentioned I too researched for days on these forums and on others to try and figure this out to no avail as the posts were very old.

If I am going to exit out of an emulator is it better to set normal for the "execution" rather than using hyperlaunch?

thanks in advance.

When I setup the tanksick origina,l I set the C and 3 keys for a 3 second press to exit, inside hyperlaunch. Make sure you check mark double keypress and the milliseconds which you want the keypress to needt o last for before you captor the keys. There's a bug in hyperlaunch that makes it not save the key binding if it's not in the correct order. If you haven't done it this way, please completely delete the profiles you have created. To exit hyperspin itself I set the C and 3 key inside HyperHQ. Then also set the key combinations inside the emulators for good luck. So if this is hard to understand, I'm writing this from my phone and I'm pretty blind now days. Lol. Well try and look at this post in the morning on a laptop and edit if need be.

Also you have to absolution make sure numlock on boot is activated in bios.

Just so you know you will always have problems with the tankstick being buggy on some emulators because the key bind settings. Ie.. Spirit layers disabling etc...

Hey, thanks for the reply. I think I figured out the 1st portion which was to simply exit out of the emulator with 2 keys pressed at the same time. I was having an apparent conflict because my Hyperlaunch HQ had different keyboard settings than my HyperHQ.

I moved my tankstick to mode 2 and configured my keys with only letters and up. down, left. right keys. If anyone is having problems with certain emulators on mode 1 it is because some emulators like nulldc and dolphin cannot take some of mode 1's key binds as they are symbols. Thought I would post this up as I am sure others will have this issue.

Glad you got it for the most part. I actually use a wireless joystick now days and the recliner is way more comfy then the arcade machine. Lol
