symplistik Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Try a simple emulator first like nestopia or kat5200 or vba-m. Then graduate yourself to the more complicated ones like mess or higan or fusion.Do the easy stuff first so you don't get as frustrated quickly. The basic steps for every emulator simplified 1.) Get Roms (hopefully legally) 2.) Rename Roms to match names in HyperList XMLs. You can use Don's Rom Renamer. There is a certain website that shall not be linked to that has the majority of roms already renamed 3.) Test a rom on an emulator 4.) Get rom working on the emulator 5.) If missing, add emulator's system to hyerspin using HyperHQ . 6.) Add emulator to HyperLaunchHQ 7.) Add path to roms in HyperLaunchHQ 8.) Test rom in HyperLaunchHQ 9.) Test rom in HyperSpin 10.) Do the next emulator Thanks for the replies of encouragement guys! I have since gotten Nestopia up and running with all the Roms, artwork, viedeos ect.. this was definetly a confidence booster. I will do exactly as you suggested. Start with the easy ones, get use to setting up ect. then move onto the harder ones. Thank you again all for your patients with my dumb questions. Cheers!!

Fromlostdays Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 5.) If missing, add emulator's system to hyerspin using HyperHQ .6.) Add emulator to HyperLaunchHQ Just to be clear, you use HyperHQ to add the system, like "Nintendo Entertainment System". You don't use it for paths to your emulators or roms. Leave that blank. You use HyperLAUNCHHQ to define rom and emulator paths. Goodluck amigo Walter:beerglass:
