evilskeletor Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Soooo I fire up Hyperspin and try to load an *.img game file using ePSXe as the emulator on the backend and I get the following error... "Daemon Tools was sent the extension "img which is not a mountable file type" and then it goes back to the previous screen. Any ideas? If I run Daemon Tools and load the file I can mount it.

Hi and welcome to the forum! So, DT is very smart. It will allow you to mount disc images even if the file extension is not right. Even if DT will not mount that extension as a default. DT will try anyway. As a test and suggestion. rename the file from *.img to *.iso and see if it will boot. Fromlostdays Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Alternately you can just turn off Daemon Tools, make sure .img is in your global emulator settings for epsxe, and it should launch it without a problem. There's also programs like PowerISO which can convert img to iso. Walter:beerglass:
