Hey guys,

as stated in the title. I have successfully mapped my keyboard ESC key to my x-arcade dual stick thru the directions given on their website (LED blinked and i returned to its operating mode). But when i am in emulators that key still does not exit the emulator back to the hyperspin main menu.I still have to use the ESC key on the keyboard. any help would be appretiated! :)

Did you map the esc key in the actual emulator or just in heperspin? It will need to be set up in each emulator or hyperlaunch.

yes I have all my emulators mapped to use Esc to exit back out and they work with the keyboard. Just can't seem to get that key mapped to the x-arcade.

It's not recommended to use Esc as your exit key because it has a specific function in some emulators, e.g. coming out of fullscreen mode.

Hello symplistik,

I have been using an X-Arcade controller for the past year and have had very few issues with controls. I was having issues programming the X-arcade and I didn't like how it worked, so I decided to keep the original controls that are built into the unit. I now have 27 systems set-up using the stock controls. I change the emulator to work off of the X-arcade and if I have any issues, I use Keymapper through Hyperlaunch HQ.

An example on how keymapper works, I have an emulator that doesn't allow ctrl to be used as keys, however the X-arcade uses those keys as main buttons. I used keymapper and set "Y" to be "ctrl" then edited the emulator to use "Y." When the emulator is running, the keymapper takes over and allows "ctrl" to become "Y"

Here is a guide on using Keymapper if you are interested, just scroll down to the Keymapper section.

Good luck, with your set up and have fun!

Thank you everyone for your help and replies. I have since been able to map all emulators to exit back to the Hyperspin menu via the (ESC) key. Then I programmed the Esc key to the player 1 + 2 buttons on the X-arcade. :)

Ok so I am still having issues with this. I can map the Ecs key on my Keyboard to a button on the X-arcade but I then loose a button as everytime it's pushed I exit back to hyperspin (which i am trying to do but require a multi key map to keep all button functions) Sorry if my explaination is bad.

I want to be able to set my Keyboard Esc key to 1+2 on the keyboard. Thus pressing those 2 keys together on the x-arcade will close any emulator i'm in. What is the easiest way to do this. It seems as though Keymapper in Hyperlaunch does not do multi key...

Well I think I may have kind of figured out where to set this as a Global emulator esc keys. But it still feels flimzy... Like doesnt always work when pressed.
