firebirdocz Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Hi Everyone, First post on the forum. I am working on my hyperspin setup and I found a program that updated all the ini files etc from the database. I accidentally deleted this program though and I have spent hours looking for it to redownload it. Does anyone know the name and link to download the program that updates the ini files from the database automatically? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Mike
Blu_Haze Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Are you referring to the program that automatically updates the XML database with just the ROMs you own? If so then it's called HyperROM2XML which can be found here in the 3rd party applications section. Another program that sounds similar to what you're talking about is Don's HyperSpin Tools.
ghutch92 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Do not use HyperROM2XML it has a virus that corrupts all of your hyperspin databases. How to Install HyperSpin and more RocketLauncher HyperSpin Startup Script
Blu_Haze Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Do not use HyperROM2XML it has a virus that corrupts all of your hyperspin databases. I haven't used it myself in years, so you might be right about it corrupting HyperSpin databases. I wouldn't call it a virus though, that seems a bit much. It's most likely just outdated by now since it hasn't been updated in the last four years. Just be safe I ran it through VirusTotal and it looks clean: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/725603b3deb626b58420bc60c72b835806b52c37479d922b7507413beb2931ed/analysis/1410118755/
firebirdocz Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 It actually is an update program which gets all the updated XML files from hyperlist.
