I used romlister to generate a filtered mame.xml. I copied the new mame.xml to c:\hyperspin\databases\ but couldn't see any difference.

Where is the config pointer to the xml so that I can find the right spot to put the new file?

Also, will this location also have the corresponding genre.xml files and can I edit them by hand to add in a couple of games that would otherwise be filtered? e.g. Slapfight (which is a clone of Alcon but I don't want other clones).
