The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

minimize (or disable sound) frontend when launching emulator

I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, but I was unable to find it while searching the forums. I am wondering if there is a setting somewhere that I need to change in order to disable the sound from the frontend after launching a game. For example, if I launch a NES game, such as Castlevania for example, the emulator begins to play the music/sound from Castlevania, but the frontend in the background is still playing the demo movie of a random ROM also. If I alt-tab to the front end and then click out of the frontend, then it stops playing the sounds, and then I can alt-tab back to the emulator and continue normally.

I have tried to enable the "hide frontend" option in HyperLaunch, but that just does literally what it says - makes the frontend not visible, but it doesn't prevent the sounds from being played. Thanks in advance!

1.) Update RocketLauncher using git: https://sites.google.com/site/hyperlaunch2/home/downloads if you are anti-easy updates you can download the zip update here: https://code.google.com/p/hyperlaunch-3/source/browse/. The mods seriously need to remove the download file on this website.

2.) Disable joystick and spinner and trackball input in hyperhq.

3.) try enabling fade in HLHQ > Settings > Fade - General > [Fade In] Enabled

EDIT: Hi Brian, welcome to the HyperSpin forums otherwise known as HyperSpin Addicts Anonymous. Here we tell stories of our setups and builds and help others with their issues.

Disabling the trackball in HyperHQ and enabled Fade In seemed to do the trick! Thanks for the tip :)
