The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Cant seem to find the enable 7z option in Hyperlaunch

any ideas?

also does it work in ScummVM, hope so as extracting those files are hugs

thanks

Open up HLHQ.

Click ScummVM on the left.

Then Settings on top.

Click the Main Settings sub-tab.

Find the 7z section and change Enabled to true.

Now, as per the module notes:

; Notes:

; If your games are compressed archives, set your Rom_Path to the folder with all your games and Rom_Extension to just the archive type.

; Set Skipchecks to "Rom Extension" for this system if your roms are compressed archives and also turn on 7z support.

; If your games are already uncompressed into their own folders, set Skipchecks to "Rom Only" so HL knows not to look for rom files.

On that same page at the bottom is the Settings section.

Make sure that Skip Checks to "Rom Extensions".

Test and let me know.

Thanks,

Ron

Well it kinda works, it loads up, but you have to choose the game from scumm, tried deleting the folder and leaving just the zip, but no joy, you need the zip extracted into the folder.

That was the only way I could get it to work for me. Unzipped. Then you have to launch ScummVM and manually add in the game. Once they are all added, HLHQ and HS will launch the game directly.

Thanks,

Ron
